The All-America Taiji Cup is an open competition for the country’s top practitioners of taijiquan. Men and women competitors in three age groups will vie for eighteen trophies to take home.
This competition is open only to U.S. citizens and permanent residents.
The All-America Taiji Cup is scheduled to be held July 26 and 27 at Manchester High School in Manchester, Connecticut.

Formerly called the New England International Chinese Martial Arts Championships, this is an open competition for practitioners of Chinese martial arts of all styles, ages, and experience levels.
The 5th New England International Wushu Championships will take place July 26 and 27 at Manchester High School in Manchester, Connecticut.
The Grand Champion Trophy Trial, for an additional $35 fee, is a chance for competitors to go home with a beautiful trophy, medals, and certificates in recognition of their outstanding achievement at the event. The athlete with the best results in at least three events in their age group will win a Grand Champion Trophy, provided he or she signs up for the Trophy event and competes in at least three events, including at least one weapon and one barehand. There will be 24 trophies awarded in twelve age groups, for males and females.

There are two official tournament hotels. Both of them are ten minutes or less from the competition venue.
The deadline for making reservations at each hotel is June 20.
(1) Fairfield Inn and Suites at 121 Pavilion Drive, Manchester.
For the special room rate of $95, you must call the hotel to make your reservation and mention “Chinese martial arts,” “wushu tournament,” or “tai chi tournament” when reserving your room. The cutoff date for this special rate is June 20, and there are limited rooms available, so please make a reservation soon!
The room includes a complimentary buffet breakfast.

Right across the street from both official hotels is the Buckland Hills Mall, with lots of stores, several restaurants, and a food court. There are also dozens of great restaurants around the mall.
I, the undersigned, knowingly and without duress, do voluntarily submit my entry to the 2014 USAWKF Duanwei Ranking Examination, (hereinafter referred to as “the Examination”). I hereby assume all risk of physical and mental injuries, disabilities, and losses which may result from or in connection with my participation in the Examination. Hereinafter the USA Wushu-Kungfu Federation, USA National Tai Chi Chuan Federation, Malee’s School of Tai Chi & Kung Fu, and Manchester High School are collectively referred to as “the Organizing Committee.” Acting for myself, my heirs, personal representatives and assignees, I do hereby release the Organizing Committee, its officers, agents, representatives, servants, employees, volunteers, and all other members from liability due to any injuries incurred and any resulting legal claims, actions, suits or controversies. I also understand that there is risk of injury involved in this event, and I assume full responsibility for all my actions, activities or omissions during and in connection with the Examination. I fully understand that any medical attention or treatment afforded me by the Organizing Committee, its officers, agents, representatives, servants, employees, volunteers, and all other related members will be of the first aid type only, and I hereby release the Organizing Committee, its officers, agents, representatives, servants, employees, volunteers, and all other related members from any liability for such aid. I have read, understand, and agree to abide by the rules of this event, and accept all responsibility and associated liability for infringement of such rules. Additionally, I am fully aware of my personal medical condition and hereby certify that I am mentally and physically fit to compete. I consent to the use of photographs and/or video recordings of my participation in this event for promotional purposes, and hereby waive my rights to any form of compensation or claim.

Later this year, the International Wushu Federation will host the 1st World Taijiquan Championships. They are scheduled to take place November 1-4 in Chengdu, China. For more information, please see the IWUF website. Currently you can find the regulations for the Championships on that website. Each IWUF member country may send a team consisting of eight males and eight females (any combination of competition and demonstration athletes).
The U.S. team will be selected by trials, to be conducted July 26 and 27 at Manchester High School in Manchester, Connecticut.
